Eastern Europe Wine Tasting

Wine Tasting

Slovenia, Romania and Macedonia don’t traditionally spring to mind when thinking about great wine producing countries in Europe, however, countries once more associated with Eastern bloc wars have rapidly evolved into producing a vast array of incredible value, quality wines which are steadily gaining international recognition. Indeed, many such countries boast a distinguished heritage long of wine making dating back thousands of years, however, under the Soviet Mandate, many family owned vineyards behind the iron curtain were replaced with co-operatives as the emphasis became more about quantity rather than quality. Embark on a voyage of discovery around these fascinating countries without needing a passport or even leaving the wine bar!
